This filtering protects equipment from being damaged and<br \/>\nincreases the life span of products, increasing reliability and preventing hazardous situations.<\/p>\n<p>When power is filtered by the choke, it dissipates the excess energy as heat.<\/p>\n<p>As such, the new range of steel covers must protect the choke, while also dissipating the heat effectively to prevent degradation of the choke\u2019s functions. Due to the properties of steel, the IP20 steel vented cover is effective at quickly dissipating heat in high-temperature environments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur customers increasingly demand choke covers that are faster and easier to assemble, while also allowing for flexibility in where they can be located,\u201d explained Steve Hughes, managing director of <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/poor-power-quality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">REO UK<\/a><\/span>. \u201cTo answer this problem, we developed the new REO IP20 steel vented cover. Even though it has been made for fast assembly, it still maintains the high levels of heat dissipation required by our high standards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The REO IP20 steel vented cover is purpose built for use alongside CNW 903 and CNW 905 mains chokes, as well as CNW 854 motor chokes.<\/p>\n<p>The cover has been manufactured in eight different sizes, to suit a variety of electrical<br \/>\napplications.<\/p>\n<p>With an ingress protection rating of IP20, the cover can block any physical material, such as debris larger than 12mm, from entering the caged area.<\/p>\n<p>A range of mounts to secure the cover is also available, should an engineer wish to position the cover onto the outside of a switch board.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Power quality specialist REO UK has launched a new range of IP20 steel vented covers for industrial chokes.
