{"id":10535,"date":"2019-01-25T09:00:56","date_gmt":"2019-01-25T09:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=10535"},"modified":"2019-01-24T11:16:13","modified_gmt":"2019-01-24T11:16:13","slug":"5v-60a-dc-dc-converter-accepts-a-200-to-425v-input","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/5v-60a-dc-dc-converter-accepts-a-200-to-425v-input\/","title":{"rendered":"5V 60A DC-DC converter accepts a 200 to 425V input"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uk.tdk-lambda.com\/ph-a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PH300A280-5 DC-DC converter<\/a><\/span>, completing the PH-A280 series of 200 to 425V input 50 to 300W power modules.<\/p>\n<p>The new model is designed for data communications and renewable energy applications utilising 380V HVDC (High Voltage DC).<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nThe new model is rated at 5V 60A and has a wide 2.5 to 6V adjustment range to accommodate non-standard voltages.<\/p>\n<p>Packaged in the industry standard half-brick format (61.0 x 12.7 x 57.9mm), it has an efficiency of 89% and can operate at full load with -40\u00b0C to +100\u00b0C baseplate temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>The converter can be conduction cooled making it suitable for use in sealed outdoor enclosures, liquid cooled applications or convection cooled with an optional heatsink.<\/p>\n<p>All PH-A280 modules have a standard feature set including a five-year warranty, remote on-off, over-current, and over-voltage protection.<\/p>\n<p>The series is fully isolated with an input to output isolation of 3,000Vac and safety certified to IEC\/EN 60950-1, UL\/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the PH300A280 models are certified to EN 62477-1 (Over Voltage Category III) for fixed installations with a permanent connection to a distribution panel.
