{"id":10981,"date":"2019-03-04T07:00:47","date_gmt":"2019-03-04T07:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=10981"},"modified":"2019-02-28T10:24:21","modified_gmt":"2019-02-28T10:24:21","slug":"single-supply-single-gate-logic-devices-support-low-voltage-operation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/single-supply-single-gate-logic-devices-support-low-voltage-operation\/","title":{"rendered":"Single-supply single-gate logic devices support low voltage operation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH announces its range of single-supply single-gate logic devices.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total the lineup consists of 31 devices that simplify the design of voltage-level translation as used in data communication between devices, such as between microprocessors and peripherals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These single-gate devices are provided in tiny packaging that ensure that voltage translation can be implemented even in applications with limited board space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previous voltage-level translation devices from Toshiba required two power sources; one for the input-side and one for the output-side.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.toshiba.semicon-storage.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"7UL1G and 7UL1T series (opens in a new tab)\">7UL1G and 7UL1T series<\/a><\/strong> only require a single power source to support voltage-level translation. This simplifies board layout as well as negating concerns regarding power-on sequence for power supplies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These devices are suitable for applications utilising multiple power domains that have limited board space such as smartphones, tablets, laptop PCs, digital camera, POS, and IoT equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 7UL1G series primarily target down translation to the voltage provided at the supply pins and offer 3.6V-tolerant input terminals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When used with a 0.9V power supply the devices can support down translation to 0.9V from input signals that lie between 0.9V and 3.6V.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 7UL1T series primarily support up translation to the voltage provided at the supply pins and operate with a power supply in the range of 2.3V to 3.6V.
