Staff from leading engineering solutions provider Boulting Ltd., which has offices around the UK and its headquarters in the North West, have completed a series of fundraising events and activities, raising almost \u00a36,000 for Liverpool-based Zoe\u2019s Place Baby Hospice<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employees from Boulting Ltd<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s numerous sites across the UK have organised a series of fundraising activities throughout 2018 to raise \u00a35,960 for the charity.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staff arranged dress down days, cake and coffee mornings and participated in a version of the iconic It\u2019s a Knockout game show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The money raised has been donated to children\u2019s charity, Zoe\u2019s Place Baby Hospice, which provides respite, palliative and end of life care for babies and infants age zero to five suffering from life limiting or life-threatening conditions, as well as family and bereavement support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boulting Ltd works across numerous industry sectors, offering engineering services including mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, as well as maintenance and project management support. Staff at Boulting have raised money for a different charity every year since 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur annual fundraising started after one of our colleagues had a baby girl who was born prematurely,\u201d said Boulting Ltd purchasing manager, Lianne Cross. \u201cWe decided to raise money for the neonatal unit where she was being looked after and raised over \u00a32,400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery year the fundraising efforts have grown, and the staff really get involved in raising money. The charity for the year is decided through a staff vote, where employees can nominate charities that are special to them,\u201d Lianne continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFundraising at Boulting is companywide and runs from January to December every year. Other fundraising activities throughout 2018 have included opening a tuck shop selling snacks as well as a book library. A few of my colleagues even raised money by taking part in a spooky night time tour around an old asylum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe delivered the cheque to Zoe\u2019s Place in February,\u201d Lianne said. \u201cWhen we visited, they gave us a tour of the hospice and we were able to meet some of the children and the nurses. It was a pleasure to see where our donation will go.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are a free of charge service to those who need us\u201d, said corporate and events fundraiser for Zoe\u2019s Place, Natasha Baggaley. \u201cThis means we have to raise \u00a31.6 million a year, just to keep the doors to our hospice open; that\u2019s \u00a34,500 a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe donation from Boulting means that we can continue to provide the care our families rely on. This donation will help us to continue to support our babies and their families throughout 2019, so we can\u2019t thank them enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staff at Boulting have already selected their chosen charity for 2019 \u2014 The Bloom Appeal, a blood cancer patient support and clinical research charity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
