{"id":1158,"date":"2017-09-21T10:19:33","date_gmt":"2017-09-21T09:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=1158"},"modified":"2017-09-21T10:21:41","modified_gmt":"2017-09-21T09:21:41","slug":"high-current-photo-relays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/high-current-photo-relays\/","title":{"rendered":"High current photo relays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Support for device power supply applications, such as SoC testers, which require voltage variation for automotive ICs<\/strong><br \/>\n<span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.toshiba.semicon-storage.com\/eu\/company\/news.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Toshiba Electronics Europe<\/a><\/span> announced the launch of two additions to its line-up of photorelays: the 60V TLP3407S and the 100V TLP3409S.<\/p>\n<p>These devices are packaged in S-VSON4, the 2.00mm x 1.45mm package with the industry&#8217;s smallest mounting area.<\/p>\n<p>The new products realise high voltages while retaining the features of the existing TLP3406S, which offers a 30V rating with large on-state current rating and small size.<\/p>\n<p>The higher voltages realise support for Device Power Supply (DPS) applications, such as SoC testers, which require voltage variation for automotive ICs.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Engineer News Network --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"6176629146\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nThe TLP3407S can handle currents up to 1A and has a low RON of 0.2\u03a9 (typ.) whereas the TLP3409S handles 0.65A with a RON of 0.4\u03a9 (typ.).<\/p>\n<p>Both devices operate from -40\u00b0C to +110\u00b0C and consume an extremely low 1nA in the off-state.<\/p>\n<p>The S-VSON4 package has a 22.5% smaller mounting area than the 2.45mm x 1.45mm VSON4 package.<\/p>\n<p>This series also pushes operating temperature to a new high, from 85\u00b0C to 110\u00b0C.
