{"id":11613,"date":"2019-04-12T10:00:23","date_gmt":"2019-04-12T09:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=11613"},"modified":"2019-04-11T10:33:26","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T09:33:26","slug":"common-mode-choke-is-first-to-meet-requirements-of-1000base-t1-automotive-lan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/common-mode-choke-is-first-to-meet-requirements-of-1000base-t1-automotive-lan\/","title":{"rendered":"Common-mode choke is first to meet requirements of 1000BASE-T1 automotive LAN"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Murata announces the sampling of the world\u2019s first common mode choke coil designed to be fully compatible with the automotive high-speed (1Gbps) LAN standard, 1000BASE-T1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.murata.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"DLW32MH101XT2 (opens in a new tab)\">DLW32MH101XT2<\/a><\/strong> is the industry\u2019s smallest common mode choke coil for 1000BASE-T1 applications.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vehicle technology has rapidly evolved in recent years to include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and sophisticated in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) while moving ever closer to fully autonomous operation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, vehicle communication busses carry increased-bandwidth data from higher resolution image sensors and more complex electronic control units (ECUs).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support this traffic, the 1000BASE-T1 standard is expected to become widespread in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DLW32MH101XT2 supports the S-Parameter characteristics specified by the OPEN alliance automotive network standard organization and meets the characteristics for noise filters in 1000BASE-T1 communications.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the application of Murata\u2019s winding technology and using a unique winding structure, the device is the smallest currently available, measuring just 3.2 x 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm and weighing just 0.064 g.
