It\u2019s interesting to note, however, that vacancies increased at almost double the rate of salaries. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPay packets are the first part of a job that professionals look at, so a \u2018quality over quantity\u2019 outlook may be the way forward to securing an even greater number of candidate applications. What with the current skills shortage, continuing to increase wages will ensure your business stands out in a competitive market.\u201d &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as this, the amount of candidates in the engineering industry registering their CVs online with CV-Library has increased by a staggering 21.7%, suggesting that more individuals are starting to consider looking for jobs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biggins continues: \u201cThe overall increase in salaries and job vacancies has certainly resulted in some healthy competition amongst engineering professionals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;To attract the best quality candidates, businesses need to ensure that they have effective hiring strategies in place.
