With salaries across the UK jumping up by 4.1% last month, the latest data from CV-Library<\/a><\/strong>, the UK\u2019 independent job board, reveals that the engineering industry is offering some of the highest pay packets right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, after analysing over 175,000 jobs posted on its site in April 2019, the job board reveals that the IT, construction and engineering sectors currently offer the biggest salary packages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Average pay in engineering currently sits at \u00a336,709 per annum, with certain roles commanding even higher salaries: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Engineering Manager – \u00a349,957.14<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Mechanical Engineer – \u00a342,696.06<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Design Engineer – \u00a339,487.81<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Electrical Engineer – \u00a339,411.47<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Engineering Technician – \u00a338,698.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Plant Engineer – \u00a337,853.08<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Maintenance Engineer – \u00a337,279.80<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s more, the job board found that pay in the industry had jumped up by 1.5% year-on-year, suggesting that employers are pulling out all the stops to try and overcome ongoing skills shortages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
