Industrial router manufacturer INSYS icom<\/a><\/strong>, has announced the launch of its new \u2018all-rounder\u2019 ECR router.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ECR is suitable for both secure remote maintenance and control as well as acquiring and processing application data for edge computing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite only being launched in January 2019, by February the product was sold out globally. INSYS icom has now restocked the new router available for purchase worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ideal for the machine and plant engineering, power, water and environmental industries, the new INSYS icom ECR router creates an independent wireless LAN network and provides Wi-Fi as an access point for local network connection and for client integration into IT infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ECR also ensures that all critical infrastructure can be supported and remotely accessible with the option of dual SIM capabilities of the 4G version. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The integrated digital input and output (I\/O) extends the range of applications and due to its two interfaces, RS232 and RS485, can be applied for easy retrofit into existing plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe ECR is a great option for those looking to start their digitalisation journey\u201d, said Heiko Noll, Product Manager Devices at INSYS icom. \u201cWe call it the \u2018all-rounder\u2019 because it enables many different customers\u2019 solutions. The ECR offers more interfaces than our essential product series SCR, although it is not as flexible as our high performance MRX series,\u201d explained Noll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe ECR provides two DIN-rail mounting directions for both switch cabinets and distribution boxes and can also be directly placed onto panels. We understand our customers and know that security, reliability and cost efficiency is highly important to them. This is why our products easily establish secure connections and fast data handling,\u201d continued Heiko Noll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
