{"id":12653,"date":"2019-06-10T08:00:47","date_gmt":"2019-06-10T07:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=12653"},"modified":"2019-06-06T11:09:23","modified_gmt":"2019-06-06T10:09:23","slug":"h-bridge-driver-ic-offers-popular-pinout-and-wide-operating-voltage-range","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/h-bridge-driver-ic-offers-popular-pinout-and-wide-operating-voltage-range\/","title":{"rendered":"H-bridge driver IC offers popular pinout and wide operating voltage range"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH has expanded its line-up of DC brushed motor driver ICs with a highly efficient, single-channel H-bridge driver offering a maximum rating of 50V\/3.5A and the industry\u2019s lowest standby current.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supplied in a compact, HSOP8 surface mount package and featuring a popular pinout, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/toshiba.semicon-storage.com\/ap-en\/product\/linear\/motordriver\/detail.TB67H450FNG.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"TB67H450FNG (opens in a new tab)\">TB67H450FNG<\/a><\/strong> is ideal for new DC brushed motor designs or as a plug-in replacement to improve and upgrade existing applications in addition to offering more product sourcing options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The device, which is fabricated using Toshiba\u2019s BiCD process, can drive brushed motors with voltages from 4.5V to 44V. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, it is suitable for a wide variety of industrial and commercial equipment including office automation and banking terminals, white goods, robot vacuum cleaners, and other home appliances.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A low standby current consumption of 1\u00b5A is achieved as a result of a newly developed power supply circuit that controls the VCC regulator in standby mode. This contributes to saving power in many modern battery-powered applications such as small household robots and electronic locks as well as devices powered by 5V USB power supplies and improves the battery life of battery powered devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capable of driving DC brushed motors in a total of four constant-current modes (forward, reverse, brake and stop), the TB67H450FNG can deliver up to 50V\/3.5A via a low on-resistance (0.6W) built-in MOSFET.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The highly integrated motor driver IC includes a single H-bridge channel and incorporates several error detection features such as thermal shutdown (TSD), over current detection (ISD) and undervoltage lockout (UVLO).
