{"id":13187,"date":"2019-07-09T11:00:22","date_gmt":"2019-07-09T10:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=13187"},"modified":"2019-07-08T17:57:43","modified_gmt":"2019-07-08T16:57:43","slug":"long-field-life-48v-480w-din-rail-power-supply-has-a-narrow-84mm-width","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/long-field-life-48v-480w-din-rail-power-supply-has-a-narrow-84mm-width\/","title":{"rendered":"Long field life 48V 480W DIN rail power supply has a narrow 84mm width"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"TDK Corporation (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uk.tdk-lambda.com\/drb\" target=\"_blank\">TDK Corporation<\/a><\/strong> announces the introduction of a 48V 480W output model to the DRB series of 15 to 480W DIN rail mount power supplies.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The product\u2019s narrow 84mm width provides additional space for other DIN rail modules, or the use of a smaller enclosure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for the DRB480-48-1 include factory automation, industrial process control, semiconductor fabrication, communications and test and measurement equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DRB480 rugged metal case has a depth of 124mm, a height of 125mm and a width of just 84mm.\u00a0 The power supply operates from a wide range 90 \u2013 264Vac input enabling worldwide use.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DRB480-48-1 has a 48V 10A output and features a DC OK relay contact in addition to an LED indicator.\u00a0 The output can be adjusted from 48 \u2013 52.8V to compensate for series blocking diodes or MOSFETs in redundant configurations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Input to output isolation is 3,000Vac, input to ground 1,500Vac and output to ground is 500Vac.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DRB480 is convection cooled and rated for operation in -20 to +70\u00baC ambient temperatures (cold start at -40\u00baC), with linear derating above 50\u00baC to 62.5% load at 70\u00baC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A high efficiency of up to 92% reduces internal heating of the electrolytic capacitors, providing a field life in excess of 10 years with 24 hours a day operation at 75% load, 230Vac input and 40\u00baC ambient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unit is certified to IEC\/EN\/UL\/CSA 60950-1, UL 508 and is CE marked for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives.\u00a0 It meets EN 55011-B, EN 55032-B, CISPR11-B, CISPR32-B and EN 61204-3 (Class A) radiated and conducted emissions.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DRB480 complies with EN 61000-3-2 (Class A) harmonic currents, the EN 61000-4 immunity standards and line interruptions to SEMI F47.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TDK Corporation announces the introduction of a 48V 480W output model to the DRB series of 15 to 480W DIN rail mount power supplies.
