Central to the manipulators are geared motors and drive technology from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.keb.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">KEB Automation<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The rotary motion of the face plate is realised by a compact servo gear motor, which enables a large speed setting range and a high speed constancy,&#8221; explains Andreas Jung, sales engineer at KEB Automation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The geared motor originates from KEB\u2019s motor development and production in Schneeberg, Germany. The motors are selected and implemented using the KEB-Drive software tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From idea to commissioning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The stroke axis moves as a trapezoidal screw drive, allowing the working height to be adjusted when using a wide variety of workpiece geometries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to ensure ergonomic working in all necessary positions, the face plate can be swivelled up to 130\u02da from the horizontal position. Work pieces up to a component weight of one tonne are safely carried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Thanks to our system, the concept is also scaleable to different machine sizes, which saves our customers further time,&#8221; says Andreas Jung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"308\" height=\"410\" src=\"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/csm_img_mu_app-hub-rsh-6_95bd5075f1_lres-copy.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/csm_img_mu_app-hub-rsh-6_95bd5075f1_lres-copy.jpg 308w, https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/csm_img_mu_app-hub-rsh-6_95bd5075f1_lres-copy-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>G\u00fcnter Schirmuli, Managing Director at RSH Automation states: &#8220;Starting with our product idea, through the necessary design of the drive system and product selection, to the support during commissioning, we\u2019ve worked very closely with KEB.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>System drive controller and brake<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The manipulators are moved by a bevel-helical geared motor with an integrated COMBISTOP spring-applied brake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An integrated brake handling system in the KEB COMBIVERT S6 servo drive \u2013 or in the COMBIVERT F5 as used in this application \u2013 enables safe load transfer, independent of the component weight and from any position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the mobile design, the RSH system can be variably integrated into various manufacturing processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For internal transport, the manipulator has integrated impellers combined with a pluggable pulling device. &#8220;The engineers and technicians at KEB provide optimal support for us when it comes to the drive equipment of our plants,&#8221; states Hans-Peter R\u00f6llke, fellow Managing Director at RSH Automation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Based in Haiger, Germany, RSH Automation has more than 20 years of experience in the development of custom automation technology.&nbsp; Among its activities, the company builds manipulators for engine parts for a well-known German manufacturer.
