{"id":15583,"date":"2020-02-18T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-18T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=15583"},"modified":"2020-02-17T10:33:50","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T10:33:50","slug":"trio-of-new-high-current-photorelays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/trio-of-new-high-current-photorelays\/","title":{"rendered":"Trio of new high-current photorelays"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/toshiba.semicon-storage.com\/eu\/product\/opto\/photocoupler\/detail.TLP3106A.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH (opens in a new tab)\">Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH<\/a><\/strong> has announced the availability of three new photorelays that are aimed at applications where they will replace mechanical 1-Form-A relays in industrial and factory automation installations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Based upon the latest U-MOS IX semiconductor process with a trench structure, that reduces on-resistance, allowing the TLP3106A, TLP3107A and TLP3109A to have RON(max) values of 30m\u03a9, 40m\u03a9 and 65m\u03a9 respectively.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new photorelays offer a range of options including an OFF-state output terminal voltage (VOFF) between 30 and 100V and a steady ON-state current (ION) between 3 and 4.5A. Pulsed ON-state current values are in the range 9 to 13.5A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All three devices offer an isolation voltage (BVS min) of 1500Vrms and operate across a temperature range of -40\u00baC to +110\u00baC.
