{"id":15590,"date":"2020-02-18T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-18T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=15590"},"modified":"2020-02-17T10:48:43","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T10:48:43","slug":"interface-module-connects-sensors-with-profinet-controllers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/interface-module-connects-sensors-with-profinet-controllers\/","title":{"rendered":"Interface module connects sensors with PROFINET controllers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Precision sensor manufacturer <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.micro-epsilon.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Micro-Epsilon<\/a><\/strong> has introduced an interface module that expands the range of connectivity options available for its sensors and measurement systems.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IF2030\/PNET module allows simple integration of compatible sensors to a PROFINET network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IF2030\/PNET interface module is a single channel system that is compatible with Micro-Epsilon sensors that output data via their RS422 or RS485 interface.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Screw terminals allow the sensors to be connected to the module directly via RS422\/RS485 interfaces.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two network connections are provided for different network topologies. The interface module supports data rates up to 4 MBaud and can be installed in switching cabinets via a DIN rail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four status LEDs are provided on the front of the module (system, status, COM0 and COM1). Synchronisation output (TTL, HTL) is possible for RS422 sensors. Software integration into a PLC is achieved via a GSDML file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A range of sensors and measurement systems from Micro-Epsilon are compatible with the IF2030 interface module.
