{"id":1623,"date":"2017-10-06T12:32:14","date_gmt":"2017-10-06T11:32:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=1623"},"modified":"2017-10-06T12:34:46","modified_gmt":"2017-10-06T11:34:46","slug":"international-engineering-fair-scara-robots-on-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/international-engineering-fair-scara-robots-on-show\/","title":{"rendered":"International Engineering Fair: SCARA robots on show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Industrial robot specialist, <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tmrobotics.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TM Robotics<\/a><\/span> is exhibiting at the International Engineering Fair (MSV) in Brno, Czech, from 9th-13th October, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>With more than 1,500 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors from 59 countries worldwide, TM Robotics is set to reach out to the many attendees, demonstrating the addition of a sliding fifth axis to the THP550 SCARA robot.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nThe industrial robot specialist is exhibiting along with Slovakian Republic-based robot specialist, SDA.<\/p>\n<p>Together they will exhibit the unique THP550 slider demonstration in the Pavilion G2 area, from stand 41.<\/p>\n<p>The THP range is capable of working continuously at high speeds without rest, rivalling delta robots.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the THP550 has been designed for high-speed handling applications in food processing and end of line packaging.<\/p>\n<p>TM Robotics will be showcasing the TS3000 controller alongside the THP550. This controller allows the addition of a fifth servo-driver to control external peripheral equipment.<\/p>\n<p>At this show, this will be a Toshiba Machine Cartesian actuator. This not only allows for extended reach, but creates a fully synchronised axis, precisely tracked by the SCARA\u2019s movement and synchronised accurately with the Z-axis.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Those who come along to this demonstration will see SCARA and Cartesian robots working together in synchrony at very high speeds,&#8221; explained Nigel Smith, chief executive officer at TM Robotics. &#8220;This added flexibility means end users can extend the reach of a SCARA robot or transfer products from one workstation to another easily, without human intervention.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The in-built conveyor tracking function of the controller allows the robot to pick or place parts from a moving conveyor in high speed handling applications with speed, accuracy and synchronicity.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the TS3000 controller can be easily integrated with a vision system if required.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Industrial robot specialist, TM Robotics is exhibiting at the International Engineering Fair (MSV) in Brno, Czech, from 9th-13th October, 2017.
