The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) has announced the immediate availability of a white paper on Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN). Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) \u2013The Case For Action Now<\/em> provides an in-depth analysis of what the technology is and why it is crucial to create Smart Factories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authored by the CLPA and its board member company Analog Devices (ADI), the white paper takes a closer look at one of the most promising new developments for industrial communications, TSN. This offers a method to merge the information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) worlds, delivering the data convergence and transparency across factories and enterprises that Industry 4.0 demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This latest paper from the CLPA discusses the potential of TSN, its governing standards, how they are evolving and what this means for businesses interested in this technology. In particular, the document highlights why it is important to act now in the implementation of TSN-driven industrial communications networks, detailing the immediate and long-term benefits to end users as well as automation vendors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the white paper provides an insight into current technologies available that can help the transition to TSN-based communications, such as CC-Link IE TSN. This is the first open industrial gigabit Ethernet to feature key TSN functionalities for industrial automation applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
