Plant managers can reduce the risk of downtime caused by fluid degradation by implementing regular thermal fluid monitoring and management services.

Frequent sampling, available as part of preventative maintenance programmes, such as Global Heat Transfer’s Thermocare, alerts plant managers to potential issues before serious damage occurs. Sampling at regular intervals can extend the lifespan of thermal fluid and help plant managers meet regulations.

Now Thermal fluid specialist, Global Heat Transfer has released three new synthetic heat transfer fluids in its Globaltherm range.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-client="ca-pub-7565662001938327" data-ad-slot="7585079586"></ins>

These high-performance fluids are customised to maximise output in a range of applications in the plastics, chemical and industrial manufacturing sectors.

Globaltherm HF and RP operate at the high temperatures required for plastics and chemicals processing.

Both fluids were specifically designed to operate efficiently and deliver thermal stability for applications that require single fluid heating and cooling.

Both fluids have high flash points to offer manufacturers a fluid that can operate at higher temperatures.

Globaltherm HF currently has the highest flashpoint available in the market.

The fluid is easier to manage because of a blend of additives that keep the fluid stable at such high temperatures. The fluid is also environmentally friendly and non-toxic.

While Globaltherm RP also has a high flashpoint, it is specifically designed for non-pressurised liquid phase systems. The media also degrades to low molecular weight products, preventing the build-up of high molecular weight products that must be removed from the system, improving the life span of the fluid.

Manufacturers must meet the Dangerous Substances & Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) and ATEX regulations to mitigate and minimise risk when operating heat transfer systems.

Services such as Thermocare will assist with the maintenance scheduling, training and documentation needed to comply with these regulations and extend the life of thermal fluids and reduce downtime and costs.

Global Heat Transfer has also released high performance media to benefit the industrial manufacturing sector. Globaltherm J is a superior, low temperature fluid for both liquid and vapour phase systems.

The fluid is customised for applications that require single fluid heating and cooling, remaining stable throughout the process to protect against overheating.

Working continuously at elevated temperatures causes heat transfer fluids to degrade over time.
