{"id":2364,"date":"2017-11-09T09:57:02","date_gmt":"2017-11-09T09:57:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=2364"},"modified":"2017-11-09T09:57:02","modified_gmt":"2017-11-09T09:57:02","slug":"prqa-announces-first-code-analyser-for-autosar-c14-coding-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/prqa-announces-first-code-analyser-for-autosar-c14-coding-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"PRQA announces first code analyser for AUTOSAR C++14 Coding Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.prqa.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PRQA<\/a><\/span> has announced the first commercially available tool for automatically applying the new AUTOSAR C++14 Coding Guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>The AUTOSAR Compliance Module is an extension to the QA\u00b7C++ 4.2 automated static code analysis tool.<\/p>\n<p>The AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) development partnership is working on \u201cGuidelines for the use of the C++14 language in critical and safety-related systems\u201d in order to help ensure the safety and security of the code written by implementers of AUTOSAR software.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nPRQA was invited to become an AUTOSAR development partner and to join the working group responsible for development of the guidelines, because of the expertise in the C++ programming language and best practice software development that it has established over the past 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>The Coding Guidelines are delivered as part of the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform, aimed at high-performance computing ECUs for fail-operational systems for use cases such as highly autonomous driving.<\/p>\n<p>It is validated through the adaptive platform demonstrator, an AUTOSAR-internal implementation written in C++. The QA\u00b7C++ analysis tool was used to ensure the quality of the demonstrator source code and to verify that it complies with the Coding Guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSoftware development is increasingly important for automotive applications.
