We were inspired by his mission and bold vision \u2013 especially from someone with no former design background whatsoever \u2013 and decided we wanted to support Ambionics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProviding the 3D printing filament means Ben can concentrate on the beta trial unrestricted by product costs. The project has received wide interest already, achieving \u00a323,000 through crowdfunding of the \u00a3150,000 total needed. It\u2019s a very worthy project and one we\u2019re proud to be a supporter of,\u201d she added.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nBen Ryan said: \u201cI\u2019m delighted with the progress we\u2019re making in evolving the development and testing of the Ambionics limbs, which has only been possible thanks to staunch supporters of the project \u2013 one of which is <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/rs-components-enables-embedded-safety-in-equipment-development-with-launch-of-designspark-safety\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RS<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe options for babies and toddlers who have lost limbs really are cumbersome \u2013 with sensor technology not available for those under around three or four and many of the limbs not being aesthetically pleasing at all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy aim through Ambionics is to help children everywhere adopt and continue to use prosthetics into adulthood. Offering safe function with no small parts or batteries at the earliest possible age is key to achieving this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This backing of Ambionics reinforces RS\u2019s new brand position \u2018for the inspired\u2019 which represents how the business is celebrating the achievements of its customers and suppliers.
