{"id":24534,"date":"2023-03-07T10:33:19","date_gmt":"2023-03-07T10:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=24534"},"modified":"2023-03-07T10:33:56","modified_gmt":"2023-03-07T10:33:56","slug":"high-torque-frameless-servo-motors-are-lighter-and-more-compact","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/high-torque-frameless-servo-motors-are-lighter-and-more-compact\/","title":{"rendered":"High-torque frameless servo motors are lighter and more compact\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Recently announced by Kollmorgen, and available through UK distribution partner <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heason.com\">Heason Technology<\/a><\/strong>, a new generation of high torque-density frameless servo motors deliver elevated load carrying capacities in extremely compact rotor\/stator package sizes.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The high-performance brushless TBM2G series is available in seven rotor\/stator frame sizes, each with three stack lengths, for rated power output from 200 W to 1 .43kW and continuous torque from 0.27 to 6Nm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed for operation at 48 VDC and below with windings optimised for the speed and torque requirements of 3.5 and 15kg collaborative robots, the series is available with optional Hall sensors, thermal sensors, matched harmonic gear units and other accessories to facilitate robotic systems with lower joint weights for faster and smoother movements, improved energy efficiency and lower thermal rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TBM2G series features outer frame diameters from 50 to 115mm with large through-holes that can generously accommodate encoders, cabling, and other services.
