Moreover, the rate of decline was among the steepest during the past 14 years, according to findings by the Chartered Institute of Procurement &amp; Supply (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cips.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CIPS<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies reported that recent output had been scaled back due to declining intakes of new work and disruption caused by stretched supply chains and material shortages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long lead times prove to be a huge challenge for businesses attempting to source genuine parts for equipment and machinery.
