The 10TB model delivers a 58% increase in\u00a0maximum sustained transfer rate when compared to Toshiba\u2019s prior MD04ABA-V Series, pushing it to 237MiB\/s[3].<br \/>\nAvailable in 6TB, 8TB and 10TB capacities,\u00a0the new models provide a SATA 6Gbit\/s\u00a0interface[4]\u00a0with a 256MiB dynamic buffer. Additionally, the MD06ACA-V models support Advanced Format (512e) technology for compatibility with legacy applications and operating environments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe inclusion of the Rotational Vibration compensation technology provides optimal drive performance in multi-bay configurations and superior reliability with a mean time to failure (MTTF)[5]\u00a0of one million hours utilising a conventional mechanical design,&#8221; said\u00a0Noriaki Katakura, General Manager of <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/toshiba-launches-two-new-three-phase-brushless-motor-drivers\/\">Toshiba Electronics Europe<\/a><\/span>, HDD Business Unit.\u00a0\u201cThis third generation surveillance HDD line-up delivers the capacity, performance and reliability needed for higher resolution surveillance video streams and longer content retention requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Samples of the MD06ACA-V HDD Series are now available.<\/p>\n[1] <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/stepper-motor-drivers-improve-motion-accuracy-and-motor-efficiency\/\">Toshiba<\/a><\/span> defines a megabyte (MB) as 1,000,000 bytes, a gigabyte (GB) as 1,000,000,000 bytes and a terabyte (TB) as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. Available storage capacity (including examples of various media files) will vary based on file size, formatting, settings, software and operating system and\/or pre-installed software applications, or media content. Actual formatted capacity may vary.<\/p>\n[2] Number of surveillance cameras support capability is defined by performance simulation with High Definition cameras at\u00a010Mbit\/s\u00a0rate.
