With a high digital resolution of 10nm, high sampling rate and excellent linearity, the LED micrometer is suitable for the most demanding of tasks including measurement of contours, diameters, gaps, edges and segments in a wide range of inline quality control, automated production and machine monitoring applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The optoCONTROL 2700-10 is an LED micrometer that operates according to the shadow casting principle and has telecentric optics on both sides. The optimisation of the lens and smaller 10mm range enable precise measurement of smaller objects down to just 50\u00b5m in diameter. Coupled with the high sampling rate of 15kHz and the real-time inclination correction feature ensures extremely accurate measurements. These new capabilities open up applications for thin wire and fibre optic production line measurement. Even when the target object is placed at an angle or tilted up to 45 degrees from the plane of the light beam the tilt correction ensures stable, precise measurements and means that an orthogonal alignment of the measuring object is not necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For high-accuracy applications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the controller integrated in the receiver, cabling and installation effort are reduced, as there is no need for an external control unit. With sampling rate of 15kHz and measurement output rate of 5kHz, the optoCONTROL 2700-10 offers extremely high performance with linearity of \u2264 0.5 \u00b5m, repeatability of \u22640.03\u00b5m, and a digital resolution of 10nm. The optoCONTROL 2700-10 is suitable for high accuracy measurements in, for example, semiconductor manufacturing, automotive production, aerospace, glass and medical technology \u2013 wherever maximum precision and reliability are required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of whether the target is highly polished or reflective such as rollers, or transparent objects such as glass wafers and fibres, the optoCONTROL 2700 provides an optimal solution. The micrometer is also suitable for measuring rods and extruded products (e.g. rod material, plastic pipes). Due to the sensor&#8217;s short exposure time of 8.5\u00b5s, the concentricity measurement of an electric motor or high speed diameter measurement during wire drawing or extrusion, for example, can be performed with high precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to high precision measurements, the LED micrometer has integrated contamination detection that provides a proactive solution for detecting contaminants on the measuring optics. This feature helps avoid measurement errors and raises the quality of measurement results to the highest level. The optoCONTROL 2700-10 is also extremely insensitive to external influences such as ambient light, dust and high vibration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Setup and configuration made easy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Configuration of the optoCONTROL 2700 is performed via the integrated web interface, which is accessed via the Ethernet interface. Six presets enable fast and easy setup of parameters such as video signal, filter and different measuring modes. The web interface also provides a scalable black-and-white shadow image for easy alignment: the micrometer or the measuring object can be positioned using this graphical feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analogue, RS422, Ethernet and EtherCAT outputs are provided to simplify integration of the sensor into the customer&#8217;s own production control environment.
