LS ELECTRIC America<\/strong><\/a>‘s G100 General AC Drive<\/strong><\/a> is a compact low\u2011voltage variable frequency drive (VFD) that makes motor control simpler, safer, and more reliable across industrial and commercial applications. The G100 helps OEMs, system integrators, and facility teams standardise on a single drive family for many types of equipment, including conveyors, fans, pumps, and general machinery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Built for demanding environments, the G100 combines a rugged mechanical design with a built-in EMC filter to help reduce electrical noise and support key standards, with 200V models instead offered without an integrated EMC filter. It is designed to UL 61800\u20115\u20111, helping panel builders and OEMs meet important North American safety requirements. A major enhancement to the platform is the inclusion of an STO (Safe Torque Off) safety function. STO allows torque to be safely removed from the motor without cutting main power, supporting safer stop functions and helping protect both personnel and equipment as part of a functional safety system.<\/p>\n\n\n

To address diverse load types, the G100 supports both Heavy Duty and Normal Duty operation so one drive can serve constant\u2011torque loads as well as variable\u2011torque loads. Its control algorithms are engineered to deliver strong starting performance and stable speed, helping equipment start smoothly and run consistently. The LS ELECTRIC G100 series VFD also features advanced sensorless vector control as one of its core motor\u2011control modes, delivering enhanced high torque at low speeds without the need for an encoder for high\u2011performance applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The G100 is designed for quick, straightforward installation. Compact sizes and DIN\u2011rail mounting help save panel space, and an available conduit box option provides added installation flexibility for applications that require protected wiring connections, while a built\u2011in speed potentiometer on the keypad allows easy manual adjustments during setup and maintenance. Flexible I\/O, analog inputs, and programmable relays make it simple to connect the drive to PLCs, sensors, and building automation systems. The G100 also supports a simple PLC function via an Advanced User Sequence, enabling basic logic control in the drive itself using LS ELECTRIC\u2019s DriveView9 software and multi\u2011function digital input terminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support reliable operation, the G100 includes built\u2011in functions that reduce the need for external components. Integrated PID control can maintain pressure, flow, or other process variables without a separate controller.
