The EX\u2011423 delivers high RF performance in a low\u2011profile 13mm x 13mm package for space\u2011 and power\u2011constrained designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ruggedised for demanding environments, the EX\u2011423 is sealed in an ultra\u2011high vacuum designed to provide optimal thermal insulation and help improve frequency stability. Its quartz crystal uses a four\u2011point mount to enhance shock survivability and reduce g\u2011sensitivity, making it well suited for GPS\/GNSS tracking, military radios, medical devices, Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) seismic systems, test and measurement equipment and satellite communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen developing the EX\u2011423, we focused on the key parameters designers use to evaluate high\u2011performance reference oscillators,\u201d said Randy Brudzinski, corporate vice president of Microchip\u2019s frequency and time systems business unit. \u201cDelivering this level of performance in a rugged, small footprint helps customers simplify designs without compromising timing accuracy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EX\u2011423 combines ultra\u2011low phase noise with tight temperature control, strong short\u2011term stability (Allan deviation), fast warm\u2011up, and long\u2011term frequency stability.
