It is the world\u2019s first variable-width high-sea catamaran built using <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.igus.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">igus<\/a><\/span> components.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese double-hull boots always need two adjacent berths in the harbour \u2013 which is very expensive and usually impossible to book in the peak season,\u201d explains e-chain director Justin Leonard. \u201cLifting these double-hulled vessels out of the water is also extremely difficult, since there are only a few cranes available that can accommodate widths of up to eight metres.\u201d<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nThis <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.igus.co.uk\/specialvectorfutura\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VIDEO<\/a><\/span> shows how the system, adjusts the width of the high-sea catamaran to just 4.85 metres.
