This results in a 65W USB-PD compliant adapter with a 30W\/in^3 power density while operating at 94.5% peak efficiency.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nThe NCP1568 is a highly-integrated AC-DC pulse width modulation (PWM) controller that implements an ACF topology, including zero voltage switching (ZVS) for high frequency applications (up to 1MHz) that demand high levels of power density and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the NCP1568 controller can implement ACF topology with proven super junction (SJ) FETs or with high performance gallium nitride (GaN) FETs.<\/p>\n<p>Through the inclusion of high voltage start-up a solution based on the NCP1568 requires few external components, reducing standby power consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, high frequency of operation enables reduction in passive component sizes, dramatically increasing power density. Its ability to seamlessly transition to discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) further improves efficiency in light load conditions, resulting in standby power levels of less than 30 milliwatts (mW).<\/p>\n<p>This also allows power supply designers to pass worldwide efficiency regulatory standards. Adaptive ZVS frequency modulation provides a variable output voltage that optimises USB-PD and Quick Charge implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Housed in a small TSSOP-16 package, the NCP1568 includes a variety of protection features. The quiet skip feature eliminates audible noise during operation, an essential requirement for indoor power adapter applications.<\/p>\n<p>The NCP51530A\/B are 700 volt (V) high frequency high-side and low-side drivers for directly driving two N-channel power MOSFETs in high performance power applications.<\/p>\n<p>A particular feature is the fast dynamic response; a 30 nanosecond (ns) propagation delay is ideal for high frequency operation while the 5ns propagation delay matching ensures market leading efficiency performance.<\/p>\n<p>The device provides a very robust solution with high dv\/dt immunity (up to 50 V\/ns) and negative transient immunity.
