{"id":6083,"date":"2018-03-28T11:48:20","date_gmt":"2018-03-28T10:48:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=6083"},"modified":"2018-03-28T11:48:20","modified_gmt":"2018-03-28T10:48:20","slug":"multi-size-and-multi-frequency-oscillators-provide-high-stability-with-low-current-consumption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/multi-size-and-multi-frequency-oscillators-provide-high-stability-with-low-current-consumption\/","title":{"rendered":"Multi-size and multi-frequency oscillators provide high stability with low current consumption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Kyocera Z series surface mount type clock oscillators, now available, from <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rutronik24.com\/pgm\/avx\/quartz%2C-oscillators%2C-rtc\/quarz\/2.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rutronik UK<\/a><\/span>, offer high stability combined with low current consumption.<\/p>\n<p>With three models (Z series 1-3) in five sizes each, the Z series provides easy to use clock oscillators.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure high productivity and a short lead-time, the Z series adopts a new platform structure: every model shares the same common head unit, while the bases vary in size.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nAs crystal, package and IC each consist of common material, the Z series is available at a very competitive price.<\/p>\n<p>Z series 1 covers a frequency range from 1.5MHz to 160MHz by a custom IC with PLL function.<\/p>\n<p>Within the regular operating temperature range of -40\u00b0C to +85\u00b0C, it grants a frequency stability of \u00b120ppm.<\/p>\n<p>At higher temperatures up to 125\u00b0C, the stability is still at \u00b130ppm. The lead-time for series 1 is just one day.<\/p>\n<p>Z series 2 offers the same specifications as Series 1 but comes with an improved frequency stability of\u00a0\u00b12ppm.<\/p>\n<p>Samples are available fully programmed to the required frequency and stability within one week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frequency tolerance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Combining the very tight frequency tolerance of series 2 with tailor made crystals to bypass PLL for a low jitter performance, Z series 3 is the flagship of Kyocera\u2019s new oscillators. It features a frequency range from 24MHz to 60MHz.<\/p>\n<p>Samples of this series are available within a lead-time of seven weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Each series works with a supply range from 1.71V to 3.63V and has a current consumption of 2.85mA.<\/p>\n<p>Further features are a CMOS output and an enable\/disable function.
