James Chorley and Graham Furness take on the newly created roles of Head of Mechanical and Head of Electrical respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In his new role James Chorley will be the mechanical engineering lead for <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/bakerhicks-opens-new-headquarters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BakerHicks<\/a><\/span>, overseeing the delivery of its trademark sustainable building services designs.<\/p>\n<p>A Chartered Building Services Engineer and BakerHicks alumnus, James re-joins from QODA Consulting where he led and managed a<br \/>\nrange of mechanical, electrical and sustainability designs. He has proven experience of working on major projects, including transport and pharmaceutical facilities.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nWith more than 45 years\u2019 experience, Graham Furness joins BakerHicks to lead the electrical engineering team.<\/p>\n<p>A member of both the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Institute of Chartered Building Services Engineers, he has worked across all sectors of engineering, from the rail and transportation sectors to nuclear power stations and oil and gas installations.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining BakerHicks, he was Associate Director at\u00a0WSP, and has managed data centres across Europe for clients including Goldman Sachs and Barclays Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on his appointment James said: \u201cThe Building Services team at BakerHicks are industry leaders in using 3D modelling technologies to create low energy systems that deliver real value to clients. I\u2019m excited to join the team and looking forward to working on projects that will continue to push best practice design.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Graham added: \u201cThe cross-sector capability of the teams is one of the things that attracted me to BakerHicks. The role provides the opportunity to take this and, working alongside the Nuclear and Defence teams, move into new marketplaces within the regulated industries. There are plenty of great opportunities out there where I believe our skills will be valued.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Simon Steed, Director of Building Services at BakerHicks, says: \u201cI\u2019m delighted James and Graham have joined the business.
