{"id":7324,"date":"2018-05-18T10:00:06","date_gmt":"2018-05-18T09:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=7324"},"modified":"2018-05-16T10:52:21","modified_gmt":"2018-05-16T09:52:21","slug":"molex-announces-2017-european-distribution-award-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/molex-announces-2017-european-distribution-award-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"Molex announces 2017 European Distribution Award Winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.molex.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Molex<\/a><\/span>Molex has announced the winners of its<span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/avnet-abacus-wins-distributor-of-the-year-from-molex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Distribution Awards<\/a><\/span>, following a prestigious awards ceremony at the gala dinner of its 2018 European Distribution Conference, held in Vienna, Austria from 9th to 11th April.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to recognise and celebrate the valued contributions and successes of its key distribution in Europe, the awards programme highlights the vital ongoing efforts of channel relationships to support Molex customers and grow the business.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nThis year\u2019s European Distribution Conference brought together Molex\u2019s senior leadership team with 70 people from the distribution network for three days of executive meetings, plus presentations from business units across Molex.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe focus of this year\u2019s event,\u201d says Paul Keenan, Sales Director \u2013 Distribution Europe, Molex, \u201cwas to communicate how Molex is transforming its future by driving growth and exploring new opportunities in multiple markets \u2014 and how our distributors can benefit from and contribute to this success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kicking off the conference\u2019s gala dinner, Molex hosted an awards ceremony comprised of eight awards, acknowledging the efforts of its distributors throughout the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAward winners were evaluated and selected based on criteria across multiple categories,\u201d explains Paul Keenan, Molex. \u201cThe winners demonstrated growth in year-over-year sales, project conversion and engagement, along with clear financial, operational and executive management excellence. We are proud to recognise their significant contributions to our distribution channel.\u201d<\/p>\n<span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/avnet-abacus-named-broadline-distributor-of-the-year-2017-by-panasonic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Avnet Abacus<\/a><\/span> were named 2017 European Distributor of the Year, winning the main award for an impressive consecutive year.<\/p>\n<p>A distributor of interconnect, passive, electromechanical and power components, Avnet Abacus successfully outpaced peers to gain and command market share for itself and Molex across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The other awards recognised regional successes across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Darton Italy were named 2017 European Single Country Franchise Distributor of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Stefan Bouwmans, Technology and Supplier Business Manager EMEA, from Arrow was awarded with MVP (Most Valued Person). Arrow also won two other awards:<\/p>\n<p>Arrow Germany were named 2017 DACH Regional Distributor of the Year, while Arrow Italy were named 2017 Regional Distributor of the Year for Southern Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Official Czech Republic were named 2017 Eastern European Regional Distributor of the Year.<\/p>\n<span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\">Avnet Abacus<\/span> were also named 2017 Regional Distributor of the Year for Northern Europe in the UK, and for France\/BV\/South Africa in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MolexMolex has announced the winners of itsEuropean Distribution Awards, following a prestigious awards ceremony at the gala dinner of its 2018 European Distribution Conference, held in Vienna, Austria from 9th to 11th April.
