{"id":8677,"date":"2018-07-27T07:30:41","date_gmt":"2018-07-27T06:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=8677"},"modified":"2018-07-26T13:28:16","modified_gmt":"2018-07-26T12:28:16","slug":"power-supplies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/power-supplies\/","title":{"rendered":"Power supplies deliver 75W in an 85\u00b0C ambient"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/isolation-modular-power-supplies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TDK Corporation<\/a><\/span> announces the introduction of the 100W rated TDK-Lambda brand <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uk.tdk-lambda.com\/cus100me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CUS100ME series of medical and industrial AC-DC power supplies<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The series delivers 75W in ambient temperatures of up to 85\u00b0C with just 1m\/s airflow, however, with conduction cooling, it can provide full power at up to 70\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Target markets include home healthcare, medical, dental, test and measurement, broadcast and industrial equipment.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nA choice of seven standard output voltages is offered; other voltage settings are available upon request.<\/p>\n<p>The input voltage range is 85 to 264Vac, 47\u201163Hz with the capability of accepting 47\u2011440Hz. Operating efficiencies are up to 94%, with an average efficiency of &gt;87% and &gt;0.5W no-load power consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Available in four package types, the power supplies are designed for use in both Class I or Class II (double insulated) installations.<\/p>\n<p>The open frame CUS100ME measures 50.8 x 101.6 x 31.5mm (WxLxH), the U chassis 64 x 116 x 38.5mm, or 64 x 116 x 39.7mm with a cover.<\/p>\n<p>A 34.2mm high version with a metal baseplate can also be ordered.<\/p>\n<p>The U channel and baseplate models facilitate the very high ambient temperature conduction cooling ratings.<\/p>\n<p>Like the 30W, 60W and 150W models in the series, the CUS100ME has an input to output isolation of 4,000Vac (2 x MoPP), an input to ground isolation of 1,500Vac (1 x MoPP) and an output to ground isolation of 1,500Vac (1 x MoPP) for suitability in B and BF rated medical equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The leakage current is &gt;250\u00b5A and touch current is &gt;100\u00b5A. The maximum operating, transportation and storage altitude is 5,000m.<\/p>\n<p>Safety certifications include IEC\/EN\/ES 60601\u20111, IEC\/EN\/UL 60950\u20111, IEC 61010\u20111 (designed to meet) with CE marking for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives.<\/p>\n<p>A derivative meeting EN 60335\u20111 can be supplied upon request.
