{"id":9068,"date":"2018-09-06T07:30:27","date_gmt":"2018-09-06T06:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/?p=9068"},"modified":"2018-09-05T13:18:53","modified_gmt":"2018-09-05T12:18:53","slug":"multi-band-antenna","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/multi-band-antenna\/","title":{"rendered":"Multi-band antenna series for high precision applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>u-blox has announced the <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.u-blox.com\/en\/product\/ann-mb-series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANN-MB multi\u2011band active GNSS antennas<\/a><\/span>, tailored specifically to the needs of applications requiring centimetre-level positioning accuracies.<\/p>\n<p>ANN-MB offers product designers an attractively priced, easy-to-implement, and reliable multi-band antenna solution.<\/p>\n<p>The ANN-MB antenna series builds on u\u2011blox\u2019s two decades\u2019 worth of experience with high performance antennas for global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7565662001938327\" data-ad-slot=\"7585079586\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nDeveloped in conjunction with the recently announced u\u2011blox F9 multi-band high precision positioning platform, ANN\u2011MB receives signals on the L1 and L2\/L5 bands of all four global navigation satellite constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou).<\/p>\n<p>The antenna features versatile mounting and connector options (SMA, SMB, MCX) and supports an extended temperature range (up to 105\u00b0C), making it suitable for applications subject to extreme temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>Its excellent price-performance ratio and ease of installation make it ideal for small to medium size customers with little experience with GNSS antennas, however would like to accelerate their time to market.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the announcement of the u\u2011blox F9 high precision positioning platform, multi-band GNSS technology primarily targeted niche industries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the u\u2011blox F9 platform, we took a major step in bringing down the cost of ownership of high precision GNSS technology, such as our recently announced u\u2011blox ZED\u2011F9P module.
