Hospitality \u2013 33.9% increase in applications<br \/>\n2. Design \u2013 31.6% increase in applications<br \/>\n3. Agriculture \u2013 25.9% increase in applications<br \/>\n4. Construction \u2013 22.3% increase in applications<br \/>\n5. Catering \u2013 21% increase in applications<br \/>\n6. Sales \u2013 15.8% increase in applications<br \/>\n7. Legal \u2013 15.2% increase in applications<br \/>\n8. Engineering \u2013 15.2% increase in applications<br \/>\n9. Marketing \u2013 13.1% increase in applications<br \/>\n10. Recruitment \u2013 13.1% increase in applications<\/p>\n<p>Lee Biggins, founder and managing director of <span class=\"highlight highlight-blue\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.engineernewsnetwork.com\/blog\/the-10-most-terrifying-parts-of-the-job-hunt-for-engineering-professionals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CV-Library<\/a><\/span>, comments: \u201cThe New Year often inspires people to set goals and take on new challenges, including looking for an exciting new job opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has clearly already started in the engineering industry and the increase in applications should provide reassurance to employers across the sector that may be struggling to fill their roles. If you\u2019re looking to expand your team, now could be the perfect time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, not only were applications on the rise last month, but candidate registrations in the engineering industry were also up by a staggering 15.9% month-on-month. This could be as a result of the 1.4% increase in salaries.<\/p>\n<p>Biggins concludes: \u201cThe fact that more candidates are perfecting their CVs and registering them online suggests that many are considering making a career move.
