Specifying replacement filter elements

Solution that is designed to help expedite the process of filter element selection for trucks, buses, mining, forestry, marine and construction applications

Parker Hannifin has launched the new Par Fit Toolkit, a filter element selection resource for customers.

The easy-to-use, software program allows specifiers to identify a competitor filter element and select the Parker alternative part number.

Users simply download the toolkit to a desktop or mobile device and enter some basic registration details to begin using Par Fit. It is a solution that is designed to help expedite the process of filter element selection for trucks, buses, mining, forestry, marine and construction applications, as well as agricultural machinery.

The toolkit includes a wide variety of products from Parker’s Hydraulic Filter Division plus Parker’s Engine & Mobile Filtration Division, providing access to a complete range of filtration solutions.

The Par Fit toolkit is based on three different modules that users can try in order to find the right interchange element.

Interchange Element Selector is the first module, which is ideal for those who know the manufacturer part number of the filter element in question.

The module will immediately identify the corresponding Parker part number, while search results can be placed in a shopping basket via the enquiry button.

Par Fit’s Element Expert module is for those users with an unidentified element. Three simple steps can be followed to find the required replacement.

The first step is visual identification of the product style. Step two will display line drawings and involves the input of dimensional information.

If no results are found, users can simply adjust the tolerance and try again.

The third step is the results table with additional information, where anyone unsure of the element information can click on a PDF data sheet to double check all the data.

The final toolkit module is OEMAPPS, which allows users to find the correct Par Fit part number by vehicle type – or make and model – against a comprehensive industry database.

Further features of Par Fit include a button labelled ‘Can’t find what you’re looking for?’

By clicking here, users are taken to a simple contact form where they can fill out their information, which is then sent to the Par Fit toolkit team for investigation.

Par Fit includes a set of tutorial videos to get users up and running quickly. In addition to desktop support, it is also available on Android and iOS mobile devices.
