Charging connectors for 1- or 3-phase electric vehicle charging

Rutronik UK is now stocking new durable and reliable charging connectors from Amphenol for 1- or 3-phase electric vehicle (EV) charging. 

The Excel Mate C Type 2 charging plug delivers power of approximately 43kW. 1-phase or 3-phase (for particularly fast charging) connectors are available with a cable length of five meters each to suit different charging requirements.

The Excel Mate CC is IEC 62196-2 compliant. With at least 10,000 mating cycles, it is particularly durable. 

Thanks to IP55, the plug is protected against dust and contact and even light jets of water such as rain do not affect the charging performance. 

Operating temperatures from -30°C to +50°C are optimal for the Excel Mate CC.

Safe, uninterrupted charging is ensured by the contact resistance of max. 0.5 MOhm, an insulation strength of over 100 MOhm and the retention force to be applied: at least 100N are required for the plugging process, while max. 100N are needed to disconnect the connection to the electric car.

The M.2 2230 form factor modules are designed for flexible system configuration and platform usage by using a standard Key-A or Key-E socket. M.2 1216 modules, on the other hand, enable space-saving platform design.
