The LDL400 Inductive Conductivity Sensor

ifm introduces the LDL400 Inductive Conductivity Sensor. Manufactured from durable, polypropylene, this sensor has superior chemical corrosion resistance and it measures conductivity over a wide range of 100 to 2 million μS/cm.

The LDL400 is specifically designed for applications that demand continuous, temperature-compensated measurements between -25 and 50°C and can withstand pressures up to 10 bar. Its compact design is ideal for confined spaces such as filter installations, marine environments, and chemical dosing stations. The polypropylene construction ensures continuous resistance to corrosion, making it exceptionally durable against salt and other aggressive substances.

Utilising a proven inductive measuring principle, the LDL400 accurately detects conductivity. With a measurement range from 100 to 2 million μS/cm, it can output temperature-compensated digital or analogue values, providing precise and reliable data. This sensor can measure the NaCl concentration in pure and ultrapure water, making it highly versatile for various water treatment processes. It offers temperature-compensated outputs through both digital and analogue formats and connects via an M12 connector with IP68/IP69K ratings.

Whether monitoring salt concentration in fish farming or ensuring quality assurance in water treatment, the LDL400 provides precision and reliability, even in challenging conditions such as salty air. Suitable for industries needing robust and reliable conductivity measurements, this sensor serves many diverse applications from water treatment and fish farming to ship automation. Its compact design and high resistance to harsh environments make it indispensable for maintaining optimal operations, ensuring safety, and enhancing efficiency.
