Inline gas analysing system for continuous, high-precision monitoring in pressurised sources

WITT Gas introduces the AWS3–Advanced Analysing System, designed for continuous inline monitoring of gas concentrations. Engineered for precision and reliability in demanding production environments, the AWS3 is available in configurations for O₂, CO₂, or combined O₂/CO₂ measurement, providing full control of modified or technical atmospheres in processes such as food packaging, thermal treatment, and industrial gas supply.

The compact, fully integrated system streamlines gas analysis without compromising accuracy or measurement stability. Built-in pressure compensation ensures precise, long-term readings even under fluctuating line pressures, helping operators maintain consistent gas mixtures and prevent deviations that could impact product quality or process safety.

The AWS3’s intuitive touchscreen interface enables quick setup, operation, and manual calibration, making it exceptionally user-friendly for production personnel. The system continuously monitors defined limit values and activates visual and audible alarms when tolerances are exceeded. A potential-free contact outputs a 0–10V or 4–20 mA signal under alarm conditions, allowing connected control systems to trigger actions, such as shutdowns, if configured, to maintain quality and safety.

Purpose-built for hygienic production environments, the AWS3 features a splash-proof stainless steel housing that supports easy cleaning and compliance with strict food and pharmaceutical standards.

Connectivity and transparency are fundamental to the AWS3’s design. Standard Ethernet networking and onboard data logging ensure secure and accessible process documentation. Additional digital interfaces, including OPC UA and Modbus TCP, enable seamless integration with plant control systems. Optional email alerts notify operations or maintenance personnel immediately in case of an alarm, minimizing the risk of downtime and waste.

The AWS3 can also be integrated into WITT gas mixers such as the KM and MG model gas mixers to create a networked gas mixing and analysis solution that continuously supervises and documents gas quality across the entire process line.

With the AWS3, WITT expands its portfolio of high-performance gas analysers and inline solutions designed for maximum precision, safety, and operational efficiency in sectors ranging from food and beverage to metal processing and industrial manufacturing. The system combines robust sensor technology, simple operation, and modern communication capabilities, giving manufacturers a powerful tool to enhance quality assurance, reduce rework, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
