Labelling: Efficient processes key to increasing bottom-line profits

In- and off-line labelling systems, inkjet solutions and barcode verification all require ‘fit-and-forget’ parts

Having efficient processes is key to increasing bottom-line profits, and the labelling and packaging industry is no exception.

Equipment needs reliable parts to ensure they continue to deliver excellent performance and this VIDEO shows how labelling systems rely on igus’ components, from drylin linear technology to plastic xiros rollers.

In- and off-line labelling systems, inkjet solutions and barcode verification all require ‘fit-and-forget’ parts that will work well, day in, day out, 365 days a year.

On the Weber Tamper Evident Labeller, the drylin T linear guide with hand clamp gives accurate sensor adjustment, while the drylin SLW linear module is used to adjust the height.

xiros rollers are used for the label guide system making sure the label ribbon can run smoothly so the labels are applied at the right time and in the right place.

The self-lubricating drylin linear guides are based on the principle of ‘sliding instead of rolling’, providing a low friction and low maintenance solution.

drylin linear guides traverse in dry operation and are insensitive to influences such as dirt, water, chemicals, heat or impacts. The material is also FDA compliant.

igus drylin linear technology is proven as reliable and has been extensively application tested at the company’s 2,750m² test facility in Cologne, the industry’s largest and most advanced facility for testing motion plastics.
