How to easily open and close the E2 micro energy chain

E2 micro e-chains have been carefully developed by plastics expert, igus, to be the smallest, lightest and toughest in the e-chain range.

Available in seven widths, these e-chains feature improved strength and, with small inner heights and bending radii, are ideal for a wide range of applications whether horizontal, sideways, vertical or rotating anywhere where space is critical.

E2 micro e-chains come with a variety of internal separator options for structured cable routing, and mounting brackets offering several fixing options too.

In order to allow cables and hoses to be quickly and easily fitted, E2 micro e-chains feature snap open cross bars along the outer or inner radii.

They can be quickly and easily opened with the opener tool, which is provided with every new order.

igus e-skin receives Fraunhofer clean technology award

igus ihas received the 2nd prize in the clean technology awards for its e-skin corrugated hose.

The e-skin is made of tribologically optimised, abrasion-resistant plastic

Designed for use in cleanrooms it also has the seal of approval Fraunhofer Tested Device ISO Class 1.

The e-skin is made of tribologically optimised, abrasion-resistant plastic.

The separable upper and lower shells can be ‘zipped’ together to form a fully enclosed tube, which is highly dust-proof and water-resistant. This guarantees both cleanroom compatibility and easy filling with cables and hoses.

The e-skin is extremely light and ideal for small installation spaces, for instance in pick and place applications. Unlike other corrugated hoses, it is suitable for short unsupported distances due to the stiffness of the material, the rib profile and a defined direction of motion.

The e-skin has been tested under real conditions for 6.4 million double strokes at 3 m/s in the in-house igus test laboratory.
