Battery Tech Expo 2019: Accutronics showcases battery products

Battery Tech Expo 2019 runs on March 28th at the International Centre, Telford, UK

Accutronics will be showcasing its range of reliable battery products for medical, home automation and security electronics at this year’s Battery Tech Expo.

The company will demonstrate how its batteries meet the constantly changing demands for original equipment manufacturers(OEMs) and design engineers.

At stand D3 on March 28, 2019 at the International Centre, Telford, visitors will also be able to find out more about the battery ranges provided by Accutronics’ parent company, Ultralife Corporation.

Visitors to the show will be able to see the U1 battery, the latest lithium iron phosphate smart battery from Ultralife Corporation. Created for use in a wide range of transportable and stationary equipment such as medical carts, robotics and

UPS systems, the battery includes Ultralife’s SMART CIRCUIT battery management technology. This feature provides the user with accurate runtime information in addition to a balancing and protection system, which maximises both safety and performance.

Alongside this, Accutronics’ stand will also highlight its range of batteries for portable devices and home automation systems, including the company’s Entellion range of batteries and the unique Thin Cell technology developed by Ultralife Corporation.

“The convenience brought by batteries to us in our day-to-day lives has led to the invention of even more gadgets, appliances and equipment that make use of them,” explained Michele Windsor, global marketing manager at Accutronics and Ultralife. “At the Accutronics stand, we will be displaying a range of custom and pre-engineered smart batteries from both Accutronics and Ultralife, including our Thin Cell batteries and Entellion range

“While our Entellion products are specifically designed, developed and manufactured to comply with European guidelines so they can be brought to market without delay, our Thin Cell battery range was created to relieve OEMs from the significant pressure that comes with the demand for smaller devices, such as wearable devices.

“To overcome this challenge, our Thin Cell can be manufactured to be as thin as just 1.25mm. Despite this compact footprint, the battery doesn’t compromise on performance. The range can operate at a nominal voltage of 3.0V, while offering high energy density, a flat discharge curve and a wide operating temperature, suitable for Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

“Building on this growing market for portable and wireless IoT applications, we’ve also developed the CR123A battery. Designed using crimp seal technology, the battery provides the highest capacity in the industry at 1800mAh. Home automation or industrial automation equipment manufacturers interested in trying the new Ultralife CR123A and UB123A batteries can request samples on our stand at Battery Tech Expo.”

Battery Tech Expo brings together engineers and leading manufacturers to showcase the latest products in the battery technology industry.

The event will also include seminars and workshops looking at the recent developments in battery management systems and hybrid cells.
