Shibuya Hoppmann‘s FT-70-RD Bowl Feeder is a rigid disc centrifugal feeder created to feed small, medium or large parts at high rates with its design and robust construction. One of the largest centrifugal feeders available on the market today, the FT-70-RD is designed to deliver reliable, efficient part handling for manufacturers requiring high-performance feeding across a variety of production environments.
The FT-70-RD uses centrifugal feeding to orient and singulate parts for smooth transfer to downstream inline devices. Product is metered into the bowl and brought to the bowl rim, where a series of qualifiers gently orient each part, helping support controlled handling and consistent flow through the feeding process.
Its deep bowl design allows for much larger parts handling than previously fed by similar feeder bowls, expanding application flexibility for manufacturers working with a broad range of part sizes. Built for durability and long-term performance, the FT-70-RD features an all stainless steel exterior construction, an FDA approved ABS vacuum formed disc, and a Teflon Hardcoat Anodized aluminum bowl.
As part of Shibuya Hoppmann’s FT Series of centrifugal feeders, the FT-70-RD leverages a unique bowl and drive design to support high-speed applications such as continuous motion assembly and part placement processes. Its inner disc drive and outer bowl allow for independent speed control, electronically or mechanically, helping manufacturers fine-tune feeding performance for different product requirements, while the bowl platform can be equipped to accommodate a wider range of part profiles for added application flexibility.
Optional enhancements further extend the feeder’s versatility in demanding production settings. Available options include hinged polycarbonate covers with gas struts, washdown motors, and a NEMA 1 encased controller.
