Handheld analyser for verification of oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in modified atmosphere packaging

WITT Gas Controls‘s OXYBABY 6.0 handheld gas analyser for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP). Designed for use at the packaging line, in QA labs, and in refrigerated production and storage areas, the cordless analyser helps packaging and quality teams verify oxygen and oxygen/carbon dioxide levels quickly while supporting package integrity, product safety, and shelf-life performance.

The OXYBABY 6.0 is available as an oxygen analyzer or a combined oxygen/carbon dioxide analyser. With sample gas requirements starting at just 2 ml and maximum measurement times of 6 seconds for O₂ and 10 seconds for O₂/CO₂, the unit enables rapid testing of small-format packages without compromising product integrity.

Engineered for accurate, repeatable measurements, the analyser measures from 0–100%, with 0.01% steps for O₂ and 0.1% steps for CO₂. This level of precision helps users confirm that gas mixes remain within narrow tolerances to help protect product quality, safety, and shelf life.

Automatic sampling via an integrated pump, one-hand operation, and a large backlit graphic display help operators work efficiently and confidently in busy or low-light packaging environments. Sample flow control with a blocked-needle warning and an integrated needle cover further support safe, reliable routine testing.

The OXYBABY 6.0 also provides data-management capabilities for facilities operating multiple products and packaging lines. Its integrated data log stores up to 500 measurements, while product administration accommodates up to 25 users, 100 product names, and 50 packaging lines. Measurement data can be exported through USB and microSD card for further analysis and documentation using compatible software tools.

Built for demanding production environments, the OXYBABY 6.0 features a shock-resistant plastic housing and integrated rechargeable Ni-MH batteries for cordless use throughout the facility. Its oxygen sensor has an approximate two-year lifetime, helping to limit maintenance-related downtime.
