The electrical design depends on the function that the potentiometer performs within the application. Different signal parameters take precedence when setting a setpoint than when adjusting a signal or providing position feedback. Megatron can customise the design to ensure compatibility with the existing evaluation electronics in terms of the resistance value, characteristic curve, electrically usable angle of rotation and output signal.

Equally important is mechanical integration: whether a potentiometer can be used without compromising the design depends on the available installation space, mounting options, shaft geometry and operational feel.
