EDCO acquired by Diploma PLC Group

EDCO Seal and Supply Limited, the UK supplier of sealing products, has been acquired by Diploma PLC.

The new company will continue to be based in Leicester and will trade as M Seals UK.



The acquisition of EDCO expands the international Diploma PLC group and its M Seals business that supplies O-rings, moulded parts, PTFE products and shaft seals to industrial OEMs in Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Finland, China and now, the UK, through the new M Seals UK company.

M Seals UK employs 35 staff over the three UK sites in Leicester, Newcastle and Knutsford as well as over 80 in Europe.

The company has recently appointed two new sales representatives for the north west and south west regions of England, and will also recruit a new UK Strategic Manager to drive growth of the new business.

Andy Percival, Operations Manager at M Seals UK said: “As EDCO, we’ve built a great reputation for supplying the UK high quality sealing product. Our acquisition by Diploma PLC will enable us to be the main M Seals distribution centre in the UK and increase our capabilities to become even more competitive.”
