AES gains GCAA design organisation approval

Aerospace Engineering Solutions (AES), the UK based aerospace design and certification organisation, has gained General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Design Organisation Approval (DOA) from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The approval demonstrates that AES is in compliance with all regulatory requirements for accomplishing and approving Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) and minor modifications on UAE registered aircraft and compliments the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 21J Design Organisation Approval already held by the company.

Receiving the GCAA Design Organisation Approval enables UAE registered aircraft access to the company’s catalogue of over 2000 approved major and minor changes.

Commenting on the approval, Anton Heissig, Director and Head of Design for Aerospace Engineering Solutions said: “This achievement reflects the continued growth and expansion of AES Global as a DOA class leader within the UAE.

“By receiving our DOA certificate, the GCAA is expressing their confidence in us to ensure the continued adherence to their design compliance standards. We look forward to serving our current UAE customers and welcoming new ones.”
