Anuga FoodTec 2018: Speeding the processing and packaging of food and drink

Anuga FoodTec is the world’s leading international supplier trade fair for the food and beverage industry where more than 1,500 suppliers from almost 50 countries come together with the latest technology innovations.

This year the Altra Industrial Motion Corporation will be offering a wide range of products that can improve speed and efficiency in the processing and packaging of food and drink products.



Warner Electric offers Smooth Torque Technology on its capping headsets, which are available in both standard and aseptic versions, to provide a constant torque application of caps for the bottling industry.

The company will also have examples of its brakes and wrap spring clutches that offer precision control of packaging lines.

At the same time, Warner Linear’s range of actuators has excellent corrosion resistance and wash-down protection as well as a number of features that can be tailored to each application.

Huco has developed a range of efficient and reliable air motors that include an acetal version that is corrosion resistant and ideally suited to the food and beverage sector.

Meanwhile, Matrix offers market leading solutions for advanced servo motor brakes that can be easily integrated into existing process infrastructures.

Bauer Gear Motors offers its range of aseptic and stainless steel HiflexDRIVE gear motors and this year it will displaying its IP67 and IP69K solutions in a water jet tank throughout the event.

A running aseptic geared motor will be jetted to actively show its wash-down resistance and ingress protection.

In addition, Bauer will be demonstrating its latest development in motor control.

TorqueControl4.0 provides rapid torque measurement that can be used to protect the powertrain from overloading and also provides adaptive load control that will optimise energy consumption; all while using a standard mains driven motor.
