DIN-Rail power supplies

Basic DIN-Rail power supplies from PULS offer cost advantages and green credentials

PULS Power has extended its range of PIANO series of power supplies. The PIANO product family now includes 17 different and easy-to-use DIN-Rail power supplies designed to offer cost-effective basic functionality, high reliability with output power ratings from 36W to 480W.

The focus of the PIANO product family is on providing the most popular key basic functions without making compromises on PULS’ renowned qualities of efficiency, lifetime, reliability and small size. Additional and more complex features such as DC input voltage and power reserves have been deliberately omitted, ensuring a cost-oriented design of the highest quality which will meet the exact requirements of the application.

Key benefits to users of specifying PULS PIANO series power supplies include:

* High efficiency – reducing operating costs

* Lower losses – reduces energy waste, cooling and packaging costs and reduces CO2 emissions

* Long lifetime – Less e-waste and reduced costs for recycling

* Compact size – smaller control cabinets reduce system cost and frees up space in the application

* Time – fast and toolless installation thanks to push-in terminals on some PIM units and easy DIN rail mounting

* High MTBF – long lifetime, minimising downtime and lowering maintenance requirements

* Lower CO2 emissions – lower operating costs for CO2 compensation

The PULS PIANO DIN-Rail power supply range is perfectly suited for a wide range of cost-sensitive industrial and automation applications and allows customers to select the best-fit product for their needs with no extraneous of unwanted costly features. Two product ranges are available:

PIANO PIC – may be specified with either a 100—240 V or 200-240V input and has a single 24 or 48VDC output. PIANO PIC features a DC-OK relay (excluding PIC120-242C) and output power from 120 – 480W.

PIANO PIM – this ‘mini-series’ is housed in a compact enclosure and offers a single 12 or 24VDC output, input voltage of 100-240V and a choice of screw terminals, large screw terminals, push-in terminal or NEC Class 2 connectivity. Output power is over the range 36–90W.
