Hearing protection turns into a communication hub

Conrad Business Supplies expands its occupational health & safety portfolio with 3M Peltor’s WS ALERT XPI headset.

The new hearing protection with integrated communication option is available as a standalone communication headset.

“As the industry’s leading manufacturer of communication equipment, and also noise, head and face protection products for loud environments and hazardous working conditions, 3M Peltor provides unsurpassed communication solutions that deliver comfort as well as protection. With the new WS ALERT XPI headset, we are continuing in this 50 year tradition”, says Divinder Bains, Manager Western Europe for 3M Peltor hearing protection.

Professionals working in agriculture, industry and other markets can protect themselves from harmful workplace noise while receiving calls wirelessly with the WS ALERT XPI headset.

Built-in FM radio

With its built-in FM radio at a volume limit of 82dB, headset users can access four preset radio stations. A push-and-listen function makes it easy to hear surrounding sounds in a flash.

As a result of the adjustable sound-levelling function, wearers of the WS ALERT XPI headset can hear ambient noise and talk to colleagues. Using Bluetooth MultiPoint technology, the headset can be paired with one or two external hands-free devices to communicate and stream music.

The attached microphone suppresses hazardous noise dangerous to the health of the user and ensures clear voice transmission in noisy work environments.

Headset users can communicate with each other even in noisy environments at standard volume.

“The WS ALERT XPI headset is the successor of the popular WS Alert XP model and a great solution for anyone who needs to have a continuous hands-free mobile phone connection during work and to protect their hearing from hazardous noise at the same time. These include, for example, craftsmen in construction companies, independent contractors who operate machinery, as well as farmers or maintenance workers in the industry,” says Christian Heldmann, Head of Product Group at Conrad Business Supplies.
