igus engineering plastic available as bar stock and plate for immediate delivery

glidur materials for almost every application from high temperature to seawater and from food to automotive

igus offers iglidur plastic bar stock and plate for the production of wear-resistant prototypes, test components and low volume parts.

Available as round bars, plates and tubes in various dimensions, bar stock is offered in a wide selection of iglidur materials for almost every application from high temperature to seawater and from food to automotive.

“High-performance engineering plastics are in demand everywhere where freedom from lubricants, corrosion and maintenance are required,” says Alan Hicks, product manager for iglidur bar stock, igus. “Available in 27 of our iglidur materials, designers can order bar stock from igus ex-stock and mill their own one-off prototype or low volume wear parts cost-effectively.”

In addition to the classic iglidur W300 and the low-cost J4 materials, bar stock is available in FDA-compliant iglidur A500 as well as the high-temperature permanent runner C500 and iglidur J350, the specialist for temperatures up to 180°C.

On the other hand, for applications in which aggressive media and extreme temperatures between -100°C and +250°C are requirements, such as in the medical, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, iglidur C500 bar stock is available.

Alternatively, via its speedicut online service, igus will machine parts according to supplied drawings, as a PDF or 3D model, along with material requirements and quantity. Upon receipt of order, the parts are manufactured and shipped within 10 days.
