Murata X1 capacitor rated at 760VAC for high voltage industrial applications

Murata has announced the DE1 Type RB series of X1 class leaded ceramic safety capacitors.

Suiting use in high voltage industrial applications such as 3-phase power supplies or inverters driving 3-phase motors, the series is rated at 760 VAC (RMS) for X1 class use.

The DE1 complies with the internationally recognised standards IEC 60384-14, UL60384-14 and EN60384-14 for X1 / Y1 class capacitors used in EMI suppression circuits.

With its compact dimensions, the capacitor also aids reducing the overall space requirements of the application. It is also rated with a high maximum operating temperature of 125˚C, permitting it to be placed close to the source of the electromagnetic noise.

The DE1 series can also be used as a Y1 class capacitor for connecting between an AC power line and ground, for which it is rated at 500 VAC (RMS).

Available in standard values from 10 pF to 4,700 pF, the DE1 series has value-dependent dimensions from 6.0 to 14.0 mm outer diameter.
